Psst! Hey you! Wanna see what goes on at one of our get-togethers? Well you’re in luck! I’ve rounded up some pics from the last one (hope no one on the team minds hehehehe).
After introductions, company updates, and some training – I get to my favourite part. RECOGNITION! My team means a lot to me and I like to reward them for their efforts. Those with top sales get a special gift, but I also like to reward those who have advanced in title, gained a new recruit, or hit certain sales milestones. I also raffle off a bunch of awesome product, if I do say so myself. [Team – please agree here]. I’ll typically ask someone in advance to show us a new technique or new project they’ve worked on. I love seeing what other people come up with.
Swapping is a great way to get new ideas from others and build your card collection. We do one at every gathering and now I have a HUGE collection, yippee! Check out the ones from last month.
Make n’ Takes
After swapping, the team gets to make 4 cards I have designed and prepped for them. Last month, I CASED all 4 cards. CASE – stands for Copy and Share Everything. I often case card ideas from other demonstrators (giving them the credit they deserve of course). I will usually switch up a colour, ribbon, or embellishment depending on what I have in my stash.
The first one (top left) was taken out of the latest issue of Stampin’ Success Magazine (a quarterly publication we demonstrators receive in the mail). The card uses the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set (FYI: $3 of proceeds of this stamp set goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities). People got to use some watercolour pencils and blender pens to colour in the delicious strawberries.
Here’s the one from Stampin’ Success magazine…cute, eh?:
The next card (top right) was inspired by Artisan Design team member Tanya Boser (Tinkerin in Ink with Tanya). Her version was a 3×3 card and I loved how she used the Foil Frenzy dsp behind the ever-so-cute mermaid. This stamp set is called Message in Bottle and my 5 year old has claimed it as hers. Love the sparkle in her mermaid tail…a little wink of stella never hurt nobody!
The card on the bottom left was cased from one of my favourite bloggers, Dena Rekow (The Creativity Cave). I straight up love her version, but wanted to add a touch of pink into mine. The stamp set is from the annual catalogue; called Hello Friend. I am swooning over the font in that hello!
And finally, I have been wanting to try out the zesty lemon bundle and found this card by Hannah McCurley, (Stampin by Hannah), a demo from the UK. I almost straight case’d this one except I used some gold sequin trim instead of twine for my version.
Here some team members making their cards. A little helper (who’s bedtime had passed) joined them this evening…
OH, did I mention that we also like to EAT! These girls bring the most delicious snacks…mmm! So as you can tell, we have a grand old time when we get together. Wanna be my guest at the next one? Let me know and I’ll send you the deets 😉
