My sister-in-law’s “foxy” baby shower

I’m sooooooo excited to become an aunt! My brother and sister-in-law are expecting a little one at the end November. When she said she was going to do a woodland (fox) theme for the nursery, my heart skipped a beat! I do love a good woodland animal you see…

We started with the invitation…and no sadly, it wasn’t handmade. I enlisted the talented skills of my friend Lisa to design this for us.

We decided to hold the shower at a restaurant for high tea. This meant there really wasn’t much need for decorating but with the Foxy Friends bundle at my fingertips, I had to do something!

I had previously made some beautiful daisies in mason jars and thought it would be a fun idea to dress up the tables with these. To go along with the mason jars, I made tiny Hershey’s kiss holders for each guest in fox theme of course. The daisies were made with the Daisy Delight Bundle and the foxes using the Foxy Friends Bundle.

The restaurant included a cake for the occasion, but I still wanted to make a custom cake topper. I dusted off my Cricut and using Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla, made the cutest little fox topper. The baby banner is in Crumb Cake. The birch tree bark paper straws I had been saving came in handy!

Since I had my cricut out, I quickly made some framed artwork with a fox and a teepee to go along with the theme.

I also wanted to make something cute for the nursery. Here’s what I came up with, I quite like it! Unfortunately, I didn’t remember to photograph it prior to giving it to my them so I asked my brother to send me a few (albeit blurry) pics.

I wanted my girls to come dressed in theme and had the hardest time finding anything cute with foxes on them. In came Acorn and Leaf to the rescue. With a very limited time frame, Linda was able to ship me 2 PERFECT fox dresses that I secretly hoped came in my size. Alas, they do not, but the girls sure did look cute!
