Hi Friends! Today is my youngest daughter Kiyana’s 9th birthday! Kiki is her nickname, and she is definitely my mini me. She has her own craft set up in her bedroom, her own big shot and inks and so when it comes time for her birthday, I cannot disappoint her when it comes to her card. Kiyana is into monkeys, but unfortunately, Stampin’ Up! has yet to come out with a cute monkey stamp set – I am positive they will soon. Luckily, there is a cute suite in the January to June Mini Catalogue that I was sure she would love. It’s called the Snail Mail Suite and it’s totally adorbs. Check it out!
I came across a super fun design by a German demonstrator named Stefanie – you can check it out here. I made one tiny change and added some embellishments and Wink of Stella to complete the card.
There was quite a bit of die-cutting and colouring that went on here. I cut out a large stitched circle, stamped the mushroom image onto it, then die-cut the mushroom out using the Snail Dies. You can see the effect better in the image below.
I think she really liked the card! Thanks to Stefanie for the inspiration 🙂
