Butterfly Brilliance

Brand new product alert! Stampin’ Up! has released a set of gorgeous products that are now available for purchase. The collection has the most beautiful colours and dies. Check out the products below.

I got a chance to play with all of these amazing items in a Facebook Live On Wednesday afternoon. Missed the video? You can watch it here:

My favourite part about these dies is that they cut out 6 butterflies at a time, including those out of one of the patterns of the designer series paper. I cased this first one from Artisan Design team member Angela Meiritz-Reid. I love the cross hatch pattern on opposite corners for a bit of added texture. My version used the Pretty Perennials bundle for the sentiments.

The next card is fun for those who like to colour! Since we can stamp and cut 6 butterflies at a time, I grabbed one from my stash and coloured it in using my Stampin’ Blends in Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and So Saffron. I also outlined the butterfly image with a fine tip black marker so that it really pops. My favourite part of this card however, are the tiny cut out butterflies in Petal Pink card stock used to create a soft tone-on-tone background.

I cased another Artisan Design Team Member, Martin Stone but made my card into a slimline card. I also grabbed the birthday sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and decided to make it pop by heat embossing it onto Basic Black card stock.

And finally, I made a fancy fold card…I know, this is not typical of me, but it’s time I started stepping out of my comfort zone. Here are the dimensions for the card:
Base 4 and 1/4 x 11″. scored in half at 5 and 1/2″
Next card stock layer: 4 x 10 and 1/2″ scored at 2 and 1/2″ and 5″
Large DSP: 5 x 3 and 3/4″
Smaller DSP: 3 and 3/4″ x 2 and 1/4″

Ordering Special: If you place a $35 order from my Online Store and use the following code at check out: VD3X9NTG I will mail you the supplies required to make these 4 cards!
