Yes, you read that right. I titled this blog post Flowering Cactus part one, because I wanna share so much about this medley that I love so very much! I held my cactus class this week and never has designing for a class brought me so much joy. I’m a cactus girl (in case you didn’t figure it out). I live in Ontario Canada and sadly, there are no cacti to be had here which is why I had a ball with this. Here is the project medley as seen in the catalogue.
Class participants were required to have this medley in order to make their projects. For the first card, I used Soft Sea Foam and teamed it up with Highland Heather, since those coordinate with the designer series paper.
There are two things that are the star of the show here: the gorgeous designer series paper and the adorable felt flowers. The medley comes with the felt flowers, and there are a lot of them which is great. I used my Stitched Shapes Dies (Alert: product is retiring soon!) to cut out the large circle, and the cactus dies to cut out the cacti, directly from the designer series paper!
As I mentioned, the stitched shapes dies are retiring soon. Stampin’ Up! released its retiring products list and select items are heavily discounted. These retiring goodies are while supplies last so I’d check out the list and place your order quickly to avoid any disappointment.
