Happy rainy Monday friends! It’s the start of Spring Break and we are in lockdown again. This sounds bleak, I know…but we will try to make the best of it for the kids. I’m working full time and did not take any vacation days I’m glad I didn’t given the forecast for the week. It is the hubby’s birthday on Wednesday, so the girls and I have some crafting to do. Stay tuned for pics.
I’m going back to my Flowering Cactus class because it brings me joy to look at these cards. I found this lovely layout by a demonstrator named Anna Helman (Stamping, Scrapping and Stuff) and I decided to case it. I switched up some of the colours, some I wouldn’t have even thought to combine, but I like how it turned out.
I used Gray Granite as my card base and decided to emboss a layer using the Subtle 3D Embossing folder which is, (gasp), retiring in May! It has been my favourite go-to folder for a long time and I will miss it dearly. Make sure you grab it before it’s too late! I stamped the round cactus in Soft Sea Foam TWICE to make a taller cactus. The first time I stamped I held it upside down and I just wanted the fat round part as the base. I stamped the larges cactus in Bermuda Bay and the flowers in Magenta Madness for a real pop in colour! I always love to open up my twine/thread and pull apart the layers to create a softer, less perfect bow. Basic Rhinestone Jewels finished off the card with some bling!
Enjoy your week everyone! Let’s hope for some sun!!!Product List
