This is one of the sentiments from the Flowering Cactus stamp set (see below), and it is very applicable to our current state here in Ontario, Canada. Our covid numbers are mega high and we are under another stay-at-home/lockdown order. The schools are closed again so the kids will be back to virtual learning. Will it be challenging? Yes, most definitely, but we are healthy and safe, and that is the most important thing.

On the plus side, I got a LOT of class prep done on the weekend and realized I haven’t shared this project that we made at my cactus class. I found a card made by Allison Okamitsu and decided to turn it into frame-able artwork. Check it out!

I love the sunset created using our Blending Brushes (which should be back in stock soon, fingers crossed!). The ink colours chosen for the sunset were Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral. The cactus dies and images are from the Flowering Cactus product medley (which is in the 2021 January to June Mini Catalogue). Seriously, I will say it again, these felt flowers have my heart. Here is a close up so you can see how nicely the Blending Brushes really blend that ink to create the perfect sunset.

I had an extra sunset created so I made that into a birthday card by adhering it to a white card base.

Well, that’s all for me today. Wishing all the teachers good luck as they jump back into virtual learning this week. Let’s hope it is temporary and that you all start getting the vaccine soon!
